Hi!

I would advise my playground at DMP.

In this forum-part, I will introduce some changes I made for DMP-Ostfront.
These changes could not been used from the players of PanzerCorps, but they can be discussed and used by MOD-designer.

Sorry for my poor english.. :oops:
If someone would help me to translate my language into oxford english - I will be happy.

Beschreibung:
Es ist möglich, für jedes Szenario ein Bild in die oben genannten Fenster einzubinden. Zusätzlich werden längere Beschreibungen für die Siegesbedingungen möglich.

You could us a picture for each scenario in the deploy and newturn window. Also the length of messages for the victory condition is not limited.

Hiermit können Briefings mit mehreren "Seiten" erstellt werden, zwischen denen umgeschaltet werden kann.

Wie auch an anderen Stellen (Newturn-Fenster) können animierte GIF's verwendet werden. Hier zur Darstellung der Aufgaben des kommenden Szenarios.

Yes, its possible.

1. All these features? Did you noticed the other features at http://www.designmodproject.de/forum/vi ... 72&start=0 ? Longer unitnames, bigger strategic map.. I will add additional changes, also ideas an concepts for units and scenario tasks.
* invisible units at the map (you could use it to place some special "map-tiles", like panzer wrecks
* a new type of unit/animation used at stalingrad in DMP-Ostfront 3.0
...
2. For some of these features you have to use a special structure in the pzdat / pzloc files, as I demonstrated with the code-sections. You have to spend more time if you use some of these features. For using the briefing with tabs, I wrote a "program" in EXCEL. I have to input briefing-text, picture-name .. and EXCEL creates me the briefing files after a button click.
3. For an animated battlemap I need 30 minutes to create. But you have to check that the colors fit with the used style of the mod. Riko spended much time to create a color scheme for Ostfront that fits with briefing and uniform-picture.

Thank you for the translation! I will update my posts.
Because I would write in german and english, I used the two line presentation. One in german, one in english. But of course, my german descriptions are better as the english.

Actually I've tried put the similar coding in in-game message window, that works and could be very cool to tell more stories any time in a map.

very nice!

The implementation of messages boxes was a huge step. DMP and Nikivdd uses allways message boxes with pics for illustration.

Do you know html?
If yes, you should look over my changes. I made it with "copy & paste" and "try & error".

Please, let me know wich modifications you will use.

Did you tried to introduce tabs into the message box before? If that could work, that will be quite interesting. :D :D

Please, look at www.designmodproject.de! (DMP)
We used the briefing structure in our MOD "Ostfront" (since version 2.0 - july in 2012).
Yes it works fine (tabs are copied from unit-detail screen).
All changes we used at Ostfront (not the complete invisible unit).
