Voiceovers for the DLCs, community funded

Hello,
recently I thought about how I'd like to have the DLCs voiced and I thought about how to maybe get this done.
I realize that the DLCs are very low budget productions so there's not any budget available for voiceovers (which can be very expensive depending on who you ask to do it)
Now where do I come in. Well, I sued to be the producer of WC Saga, a fan made game that you can still check out on www.wcsaga.com. There's also a trailer for it here:

During the development of this project we made a lot of contacts to some very good voice talents. Now I'm not suggesting asking anyone of them to do this for free as they did for us back then, but I might be able to get a deal with one of them that would actually be affordable to do as a community funded mod.
The conditions would be as follows: If enough people here show interest, I'll ask around and find an actor who's willing to do it. I'll ask him to voice one of the briefings as a demo, possible in a few variations, so you guys know what level of quality we are talking about. Based on that demo you guys can decide whether to help fund the project or not. I'll also talk with him about how much he wants for it so what the goal amount would be.
Howthe funding might work I haven't decided yet but we could discuss that here, what you guys are most comfortable with.
Once the package is done the condition would be that after funding everybody can download the mod for free. So no additional costs involved, nobody profiting. Just funding it and once it's funded that's it.
Possibilities for over-funding would be that if we get much more than expected he could be given that full amount and maybe also voice the debriefings or something. Or he gets for what we agreed whatever we collect.
Mind you most of the people that I have contact to are professional and know what they're doing, but none of them are "big names" so they are happy about such contracts so we're not talking about paying amateurs here.
So, this is the basic idea, lemme know if you guys are interested. To give you a rough idea of what we are talking about: A couple thousand bucks, so think 150 people each giving 15 bucks, roughly! Might be 20 bucks each, might be less, if a lot more people pay of course the amount is a lot less for everybody. And of course, if we don't reach ne minimum amount, nobody has to pay a cent. I won't collect money from anybody before something is gonna be done with it.
Also I'm not suggesting Kickstarter right off. First of all I know some people don't like it, 2nd of all as a German citizen I cannot start a kickstarter project anyway. So if you guys are interested we need to agree on a model on how to organize the funding.
So... that's the idea, lemme know what you think and if you're even interested in a thing like this. The drawbacks are: It's gonna cost some people money, so this only works if enough people are enthusiastic enough to want to pay money for it. The advantage is: This can be done in a deal that no officail contract would be able to get, simply because some personal connections are involved, also compared to a pure mod you can expect professional recording quality and professional acting. As I mentioned, you guys will get a demo, if you don't like it, no deal.
lemme know.
