I tried to use the Mac version on Mountain Lion, but even after uninstalling my anti-virus program (Sophos), it still wouldn't get beyond the update screen, after which it crashed.

I tried to use the PC version on my Windows 7 partition, but I'm using a 64-bit OS, and the default for the PC version is only 32-bit.

Do you have a 64-bit version of the beta for PC?

The 32 bit version works with 64 bit windows.

What error do you get when it crashes on mac? If you click send report, there should be an excellent crash message you can save / copy.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I had downloaded the executable while on my OSX partition, and then transfered it to my PC partition; I do this just to avoid virii.

I tried downloading it while in WIindows 7 64 bit, and had no difficulty installing it.

I think what I'll do is go back to the Mac side, uninstall Sophos anti-virus, and then try a fresh install of the OSX version; I'll then get a screen capture of the error message, and post it.
