Competition near Rome

Field of Glory tournament (Rules: FoG Ancient/Medieval 2.0)

When: weekend of 9 – 10 March

Where: Il Piglio, just south of Rome (Italy)

Historical period: any army of 800 points from 1000 A.D. to 1350 A.D. (all books/areas for main armies and allies). The competition includes 4 games of 3 hours + up to 15 minutes random. Please note: maximum 20 players.

Location: B&B close by at “Casa Massimi”. This is a very famous producer of a well known Italian Wine, The “Cesanese del Piglio”.
There it will be possible to taste the best of the wine produced by the ‘Azienda Vigneti Massimi Berucci’. Of great interest is the gaming hall, decorated with mythological scenes.

Costs.
Accomodation for 2 nights in the local Bed & Breakfast (Coffee/Milk/Tea/Cakes)
Friday dinner
Saturday lunch and dinner (all above are 3 course meals)
Sunday quick lunch.
All meals are made from local handicraft food and include drinks.
Total cost of all the above for the entire weekend, inclusive of the entry fee and transfer from/to the airports (Roma Fiumicino or Ciampino), is €185.

Sounds fab Gug - a bit more warning next time would be good!

Two weeks isn't a massive amount of time to get organised....

You are right gents and I apologize for the poor warning. Frankly we were hoping at the best to stir some interest for this new competition in order to have some entrants when we organize next edition.

That's the point. Our comedians actually think they are politicians, at least our Italian friend knows he is a comedian.
