Slitherine

Mid 6th century. The powerful Visigothic kingdom dominates Spain and Southern Gaul. Their former great rival the Ostrogothic kingdom of Italy is locked in a deadly struggle with Byzantium. Further north, in the old provinces of Pannonia, the rising confederation of the Lombards is staring down the Gepid kingdom. Entering the scene from the east and threatening both are the nomadic Avars. So the scene is set for the LORDS OF THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN.

ARMIES (500pts):

From Decline and Fall: Maurikian Byzantines (early), Later Visigothic, Italian Ostrogothic, Lombards (early), Avars (early).
From Legion Triumphant: Gepids.

Restrictions:

1. 40 battle groups maximum (exception Visigoths and Gepids, 45 max)
2. 3 Commanders minimum
3. 8 MF and/or HF minimum (excludes MF archers)
4. 4 MF archers minimum (exception Avars)
5. No allies (except Lombards who MUST choose Saxons, of whom only 2 HF can be nobles)

EVERYONE WELCOME PROVIDED YOU PLAY ALMOST DAILY

there 's no limit. as long as people play daily, it's not a problem. so far, most of the games i've played have been a quick 10 turns.
