BitDefender shows Commander - Europe at War "launcher.exe" as a trojan. I can't play the game! I disable BitDefender but I still can't play the game (I suspect BitDefender removed, deleted the offending file). Help!

why don't you reinstall the game and try it without bitdefender ...

While that IS an option... it's not one I'd prefer. I like BitDefender as a AV program. I was hoping a fix similar to the AVG fix could be applied.

The fix will need to come from the AV developers, it's probably one of their heuristics incorrectly identifying the app as a virus. So even after we inform them, it will take some time to filter through the update cycle I imagine.

Can you send us the contact details for Bit-Defender and we'll see what we can do. As Phil says it's totally out of our control and requires them to change their software as it is incorrectly identifying the game as a virus.

OK, I've tried disabling BitDefender and starting game with no luck.
I've Uninstalled the game, deleted the Slitherine folder (with remnant files) and re-installing the game, re-booting system and disabling BitDefender... still no luck. Any ideas?

Can you give more information on how the game fails to start. Is it still anything to do with BitDefender?
Cheers
