Bug:Ambush!!

I don't know if how it should work, but when a unit is ambushed not only returns the shot but sometimes causes more damage :shock: , this is very frustrating.

Well, this can happen. Ambushed unit gets quite severe combat penalties, but if a TIger II is ambushed by a truck, it will probably cause more damage than it takes. ;) And it also depends on combat luck.

but when you move a unit and suddenly ends its move because find a hidden enemy, does not give you the option to shoot, I thought that "the ambush" works the same but also were attacking you.

I guess one of the penalties is to use the value of close defense, so if your unit is a tank (bad close defense rating) in close terrain and surprise an powerful enemy unit (i.e KV-1), the defense is bad for both and often get the same or more damage that you deal.

I always have a bad luck in ambushes :cry:

When a unit is ambushed, its initiative is reduced to 0, and the opponent gets a +4 defense bonus. If a unit is ambushed by infantry, it is additionally forced to use its close defense rating.
