Ive posted reports from my first 4 games at Britcon on my website at www.madaxeman.com - with pictures, and the odd movie clip, and army lists for me and my opponents.

The other 2 games will be posted in about a week - as unfortunately I have a real job too

All 6 reports - and army lists - are now posted.

Its hard to say whats better or worse - its still just getting past the stage of being "different" for me !

Comparative judgments on sections is not really how to view FoG some of us think. Most of the comparison is done against DBM. The whole game is different in feel and personally I find it is necessary to come to it with a different emotional approach. The best way I can express it is that in DBM style games there is a gradual change throughout the game. In FoG there can be big changes happening very quickly.

For example, a big change in luck in DBM with a 6-1 result in a key combat can swing an entire section of the battle. However, the collapse of a command that the single key element loss initiated may take several bounds of play as elements are moved to exploit the situation. In FoG a similar unusual dice result might lead to a big swing in that sector of the battlefield very quickly. The net outcome in both games is the same.

It's sort of like opting for watching boxing where contests are won by knock downs as against points decisions. Good tactics work in both and the result is the same.
