Yup, that's the question.

I'm toying with the idea to make another campaign for PzC. It's far too early to tell whether I can really pull it off, but I'd like to hear if a DLC requirement would be a big problem for players.

I have clicked together a little something for my private purposes which is in no way releasable right now, but could be developed further into a full custom campaign similar to the mods I did for USMC or Japan. But so far I use some maps from the DLCs 41 and 42, albeit modifed, simply because it saved time and work.

So if released in the current state players would need to have these two DLCs installed to play the campaign, otherwise would probably receive an error msg, as I learnt recently.

So I'm basically testing the ground here since I cannot expect players to buy additional stuff just to play custom mods. On the other hand my hope is that many have bought these DLCs already simply because they like the game, so having the DLCs in question would be no prob.

Would be nice to receive feedback about this from people interested...

I think most people that use the various mods probably already own the DLC's and are looking for "more" content using the PZC engine ,be user made or developer made.

I think that most people playing Panzer Corps buy the DLCs anyway.

Sure! I feel sorry for people who can't try out Maelstrom and Red Dawn because they don't have AK installed, but I'm sure the large majority of players will indeed already have the DLC's and/or AK because they like extra content. Dunno if there currently are any other campaigns which require extras to be installed.

Thanks guys, that's encouraging. I 'm going to make a Soviet campaign, and using some maps already there is reducing workload. There will be still a number of new maps for some scenarios....

If you are interested in all my material i have related to the abandonned "Red Fury" mod, let me know. I got maps for (surprise surprise) Lake Khasan, Khalkin Gol, Lvov, Viipuri, Baltic States and a few others that i was going to use.

Using DLC maps should be np whatsoever. You got plenty of maps to chose from and it saves a lot of work.
