I proudly present my "What if... - French Army 39-45" unit mod. Discussions about it or my multiplayer PC-mod are very welcome.

Description:
The "What if"-French Army is actually just one part of a much larger mod I have in mind. I'm trying to create a system which allows a risk-like gameplay (occupy areas, collect their prestige roundwise, use their units and defend your territory against other players). The strategy part of this will be pen&paper or something web-based (unless there is offical/commercial support from slitherine/The Lordz *hint, hint*) and the tactic battles will take place in PC on custom maps. The first fruit of my effort is this French Army mod, enjoy the new units! They will work in many "What if..."-scenarios too.

Hello! It looks like a great mod starting! Could you please upload the file to other servers also? The reason is that Game Front does not allow to make downloads from certain countries (as is the case for Argentina). Thanks!!

Thanks for the very prompt answer! I will donwload ASAP. I like very much to have french unit icons which can be easyly told apart from other british or american units (for infantry at least, I always had trouble identifying british infantry from french infantry icons visually on the map) I specially like the Legionnaire infantry with their white headhear, very distinctive! The color of all the units is an excellent choice, also! They give a "uniform" view to the unit set. Two thumbs up for your work!

I love this game and its modding community so much!

How come I missed this? The Char B1 tank destroyer is absolutely stunning, great job mate!

Hello Caveman... I made them sometime ago, and they got mixed, I can't remember which were originals and which ones the new icons added... I packed them all in the link showed in my previous post, if you download it you will find out... There are some already known icons recolored in the "French Blue" color you used in your icon pack, for example...

I don't have too much ime for playing, testing and writing at forums, but when I like a game really I never get bored, I've that luck. Furthermore, I'm testing as many mods as I can, I'm beta testing Soviet Corps too and I enjoy all this work greatly!!

Furthermore, I consider French Army one of the great missed ones, being at some time second largest army in Europe.
