French Wars of Religion - Huguenot

Hi All,

So, I've made up a list and decided to go with an Ally general.

Now, I have one wing which is made up of 2 Reiters and 3 Commanded Shot.

From my reckoning if I make this an allied contingent I've met with the requirements of the ruling on page 106:

"An ally-commanders' contingent draws its troops from the troops available in this list and must contain at least 3 non-light battle groups, at least one of which must be mounted."

It just strikes me as 'wrong' because most of the time I've seen allies they have to have the minimums as well. So, is this requirement missing from the army list, or is my interpretation correct? I think I'm correct, but I just want to be sure.

I agree it's not the normal wording for internal allies, but these do vary between armies. The Border Reivers list, for example, merely requires the Allied contingent to contain more mounted BGs than Foot BGs. The WoR Catholic List has the same restrictions as the Huguenots.

You composition certainly complies with the wording, you have more than 3 non-light BGs (5 in fact) and 2 of them are mounted.
