USA air question

Why dont the Americans move/sea their airforce to the UK? I never saw them do it in many games i played. Also right now there is really not a big incentive to counter that one UK strat bomber. Its better to take the hits then actually try to set up a fighter screen. If the USA would move 1 or two strats to the UK in 1942 that would really be hurting the axis so they will need to respond.
Anyway this is a great game and had tons of fun with it. Tnx Slitherine and others who worked on it.
