Shooting dice calculation

Hi All,
I'm 99.9% sure I did this right, but can someone please confirm my calculation.
I had 2 BG's of late Louis XIV French infantry (5 Musket * & 1 pike). One was <3" from the target, but only 2 files could shoot. The other was >3"<6" from the target and all files could shoot.
I calculated as 2 + 1/2 dice from the closer BG (two front rank and one rear rank - the other rear ranker was pike) & 5/2 dice from the further BG, being 2 1/2 dice. Thus I came up with 5 dice total.
Now, seeing the closer BG was 'Superior' and the father BG was 'Average' - I did 2 dice re-rolling 1's and 3 dice not re-rolling anything.
I'm right with all of that correct?
