Possible Shifting Cheese

Reading through the rules after Britcon I noticed that at the top of page 21 (v.6.00) it is possible to combine an advance with a sideways shift to move into an overlap position, but there is no limit on the distance of the sideways shift (page 20 says the sideways shift is not measured for distance and is "free"). The other bullets specify a limit on the distance of the sideways shift in this section.

Sideways shifts half way across the table would, rightly, be ridiculed, but nothing seems to stop it. A simple fix seems possible once a distance is decided.

It is dealt with p37 : MOVING INTO CONTACT WITH ENEMY BATTLE GROUPS

"Such a move can include a sideway shift of up to half a base width."

It could be clarified p20 also though...
