Am playing against Skyrider, one of MERR Quick battles, small 32x32 GER vs GB. He saved his turn to play later and it switched him from British to German. I play on PC and believe he does also but will need to confirm that.

Yep, I play on a PC also. This has happened in other games. This time it happened during save game process.
