Loss of shooting dice

I have posted a similar question in the Fog forum, basically that is, when bases of several units are fighting or shooting at the same enemy and are disordered or disrupted, do you take the one in three dice unit by unit or counting first all the bases of the different units?.

For instance, if you follow the first way, if you have two artillery units 2 bases each firing the same target, and both disordered, you do not loose any dice; if you take the second option, you count 4 dice and then loose one, shooting with 3.

You lose dice by unit.

Sorry, Don, that's not right for shooting. See P120, 3rd bullet:

"If more than one battle group is shooting at the same target, add the total number of bases to which a '1 dice per x bases' rule applies before calculating the number of dice to roll."

So, if 2 bases from 2 disrupted/disordered BGs were shooting the same target you lose 1 dice.

For combat, you do calculate dice per BG, so if you start with 2 dice each from 2 disrupted/disordered BGs, neither loses one, even if they are fighting the same enemy.
