TCP\IP Games locking up.

My friend and I have been tring to play TCP\IP games for a few weeks now and every time they lock up. When we were playing the 1.12 gold version the game would lock up after the german had moved on turn 5 and we tried to play 4 times with the same result. Now that we have upgraded to the GS 2.1 version the lock up is more random but is always during the allied players turn and is early in the game. My question: is there something that I need to be looking at to fix this. I assume it's a router issue but I don't see a problem. Anybody get a clue.   :?

Grand Strategy v2.1 does not support TCP/IP play. We have only tested Hotseat and PBEM. We have not looked into the TCP/IP code and altered according to our code changes because almost nobody use the TCP/IP version.

Thanks for the reply. I like the TCP\IP game play because my friend and I can play in real time and video chat at the same time. He lives a 1,000 miles away and we use to play Avlon Hills board games when we lived close together and liked that type of game playing. We really like this game but if it does't support TCP\IP game play then we will have to find another one that does.

I would like that as well, as you say it à more social game and you can see your opponents moves. Makes it à bit more exciting :)
