Problem with frozen tiles.

Hello, :)

When I use the scenario editor and that I save a scenario with "ground state" set as frozen and that "view" is set to frozen tileset, it shows this scenario in my campaign with the dry tileset.

My scenario is set in January. I'm not able to get it with the frozen tileset. :(

What am I doing wrong ? Any idea ?

Thx :)

Hi AM :)

I think the "view" setting in the editor is just that - a view how things would look under certain condistions (dry, mud etc).

You need to edit the time, weather and esp. the moisture settings in the scenario params to get a certain ground state.

It is a bit of try and error, but from my experience a setting like

a) time in winter months
b) frozen ground set
c) and very high moisture (90 - 100%)

...should produce a frozen ground that last permanently for the whole scenario. If you want to change the ground state during a scnenario, play around with different values for rain, snow etc (these can also be scripted).

Also, so far these settings only come into effect in turn 1, but *after* the deployment is over. So in other words during deployment the ground is always dry, but the game will read your settings from the scenario params once you start to play the first turn

edit: are we under attack again, or is it just me that the forum looks strange...?
