Hi all,
I am a big PG fan since 1998.
Started with a PG clon on a Sega console
then bought AlliedGeneral for the PS1 and played it for years.
With my 1st PC online I was able to run PG via Dosbox
and it´s still one of my favorite games.
Then also tried Pacific General which I loved for it´s big sea battles
while never even finished a campain since game crashed every time.
Pacific General was great cause of the editor and the wide varitey of units (sea, air and land)

To be honest I expected at least the same range of air and(land) units for both allied and axis here

Anyway it´s sad to register here and make my 1st post cause I have installation problems.

I bought PCWehrmacht and GC4243W and GC44E
now I installed PCW and it runned.
Since I have 2 hardcopies(C:(ssd) and D:) I installed PC on D: cause it´s the big one.
The game runned and I loved it as I loved PG, though....
Now I wanted to try the GC and downloaded both.

When it comes to installation evrything is okay
until path is needed.
Written is D:Panzercorps
but when I klick to install I got a message (the path is not valid)
same with 2nd GC and patch 1.11

Please help
BTW is there a difference between PCW and PC?
I´ve read that I can take my core unit from one campain to another
how does this works?

Oh and I get no prestiege when I dispand units?

Can you tell us what is the exact path where you've installed Panzer Corps?

What do you mean with PCW and PC? There is only one game and one vanilla campaign.

You only get prestige from disbanding in the deploy phase.

the path is D:\\ Panzer Corps
if I try to install(GC or patch)
this path is written
but if I go on it says"this specified path is not valid"

That's an illegal path name (\\ is a so called UNC path pointing to a server)

Should be "D:\Panzer Corps" instead.

How could this happen?
During the installation I selected D: instead of the 1st chosen(by computer) C: since C: is my ssd drive
Vanilla game is installed and runs

Should I just enter "D:\" for path?

No definitely not. As i stated "D:\Panzer Corps" will be fine. Note : ONLY ONE Backslash !
Or, as far as i recall, the install prog should suggest a path. You could then just accept this.

It's better to have a two level path. What I mean is install instead in "D:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps" or "D:\Games\Panzer Corps" then in "D:\Panzer Corps", otherwise you'll have issue with the installer and that's the reason you're having issues.
Uninstall everything and install it again.I've posted a small guide on how to install:

I followed Huertgenwald´s instructions and it worked.
Should I uninstall/install again?
