A question for developers/modders . . .

This idea of a tick box menu that you could use at the start of a game to set/vary historical parameters (e.g. switch off disbanding units altogether or, say, allow a chance for Italy to say neutral) - is this a possible thing to include in the game at some stage, or does the current structure of the game render it impossible?

Anyone know?
It seems to me that there are probably two basic types of players of these sort of computer games - the historical "nuts" who want everything as accurate as possible (like me) and those who like a bit of history but are not too fussed about the minor details as long as it is a good game. Catering for both types of players with a game could be a bit tricky then, I would imagine. So having a menu at the start might be one way of allowing players to set historical/reality parameters. What I don't know is whether it is a feature that can be added to a game via a patch, or whether it would have to be built into the structure of the game right from the beginning.

It would be technically possible for us (the devs) but I'm pretty sure it would too complex for modding.

OK, thanks.
