BADCON 2013 - 16&17 Feb - RESULTS added

Date: 16th & 17th February 2013

Venue: The Town Hall, Burton upon Trent, DE14 2EB


Please Note That the Council Have Introduced New Car Parking Rules at the Town Hall

To Claim Free Parking : All Drivers attending the Event have to collect a Ticket from the our Check in Desk Immediately on Arrival (Both Days!)

Fields Of Glory Ancient Doubles, - 900 points
Any Armies 500BC - 500AD
Note: FOG Ancients will use the Version 2 rules

Field of Glory Renaissance Doubles - 900 points
Any Armies From 1562 AD - 1629 AD

DBMM Doubles - 500 points
Any Armies 500BC - 500AD

Entry fee for all competitions = £25.00 per team. Please make cheques payable to 'Burton and District DBM.'

Army lists can be E-mailed to the following address : dgreen@green2004.fslife.co.uk

Cheques and Written Lists should be sent to;

Dene Green, 19 Rosecroft Gardens, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 9AF

Enclosing a stamped addressed envelope or a valid e-mail address if you want confirmation of receipt.

If possible please provide an e-mail contact address as this is easiest and quickest way to contact you if there are any queries.

My usual doubles partner can't make Burton this year, so if anyone is looking for a partner for this (FOG) comp then please let me know - I haven't entered & probably won't do so as a "single"

We're having a first try out with our army tomorrow and then I'll submit our list.

Although, to be fair it may have helped to actually put up a date on the website when the lists were required by?

How many are you waiting for in the various periods?

It was 1st Feb and it is on the website.

he's right you know.. it does say -

Prompt Submissions - Army lists and payment received before the 31st December will be rewarded by entry into a Prize Draw.
Please make sure you fill in the addresses for both players on the entry form,
All entries must be received by the 1st of February, notification will be sent and must be brought to the event as proof of entry.
Failure to submit an army list before the 1st February may result in a refund of any entry fee and reallocation of competition place to another team.
Places will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
Armies will consist of the specified points drawn from the appropriate army lists and will contain only troop types fallowed in the dated period Please ensure that you specify a year for your army on the form.
Figure scale will be 15mm.
The last pair of bounds played in any game must start at least 15 minutes before the published end time.
As with other competitions of this nature, players are required to supply their own terrain in accordance with their chosen army.
All games must be played to their logical conclusion.
Any elements containing unpainted figures will count as lost at deployment.

Does it say anything important in there? I got bored after "entries must be received by the 1st of February"

Yes there isn't one. But the normal start time is in the morning unless you are playing Phil Steele when it is lunchtime.
I think it is about 9am for a 9.30 start.

From the Badcon Website:

The weekend will proceed as follows:
SATURDAY

0900 0930 : Enrolment.
0930 1300 : First Game.

1300 1400 : LUNCH.
1400 1730 : Second Game.
SUNDAY

0930 1300 : Third Game.
1300 1400 : LUNCH

1400 1730 : Fourth Game.
1745 : Prize Giving.
