I'd say Eureka (expensive) or Irregular (rough) are your best bet. Both make nice sub saharan cavlry types with the fancy armour

You'll be struggling for the fancier troop types. Especially anyone in any armour, most wouldn't look out of place as extras in a Johnny Weissmuller movie
