BA on ipad 2: "Game not registered to an Account"???

Hi All,

First time poster.

I just bought BA for the ipad tonight.

Before trying multiplayer, I signed up for a forum account here- which you can see is working :)

I played throu the tutorial campaign.

I then decided to log into Multiplayer.

The screen asks me to enter login and password. I used the newly created Forum account details. It logs in just fine and I can see the list of hosted challenges, etc.

HOWEVER: if I come out if Multiplayer and then go back into it (all while staying within BA) it asks me to enter the password again, with the warning "Game not registered to an Account"

Again, if I enter password' it logs in just fine.

I assume the game should remember my details, as I don't really want t enter login details each time I hit the MP button????

Could I please get this resolved before I start racking up MP games- especially if the account needs resetting or deleting????

PS: not sure if this helps, BUT...... for the first 10 minutes after signing up for this forum- the forum software would be sign me out, when switching between boards. Ie I sign in on one board, but when I switched to a thread or another board, I had been signed out and just saw the "Sign In" button at the top. This stopped after approx 10 mins, and now I stay signed in between boards.

Also: I have not received any sort of verification email when signing-up??? I am meant to receive anything????

Also: When I log in here and go to "Edit Account Settings" all I get is a blank "Sign Up" form- all fields are shown blank- I would expect most of the fields to be populated with my current account settings????

Many thanks for your help with this.

I would think it is an account problem. For example I have "Email Notifcation to Replies" checked, in my account- however, I have not received an email to say you had replied to my post.

Look forward to getting this resolved so that I can I dive into the Multi-player world :)

While your waiting for the server team have you tried re setting your password. See this thread viewtopic.php?f=103&t=39770
There is a small note when you log onto "My Page"
If you have some issues logging in to the PBEM,
try to reset your password by clicking the button below 'Edit Info
I realise you can log in successfully - but it just might re set some settings that get you working.

Tis sounds VERY similar to the problem I'm having. I am able to Log In here and post- but I don't appear to have a "My Page" and if I go to Edit Account Settings- I get a totally blank "Sign Up" page????
I believe the forum and shop logins are separate but linked some how. Meaning even if you are logged in the forum, when you then go to the shop you are not necessarily logged in so won't see "My Page".

Sorry if you have done this already but have you definitely gone to the Shop page (EDIT or Main page by clicking Slitherine top left) and logged in, because if you have then "My Page" link should appear under "logon"

I have found in the past that that unless I log in on the Shop area (or Main page) first so I can see "My Page" when I then go back to the forum Edit Account Settings in the forum these remain blank.

If that does not fix it then its a possibly server thing the Slitherine guys will have to look at.

Thanks for your help.

Right- I have nw found "My Page" in the Shop Area. I have EDITED my info, to change my Password.

Can you please confirm: This password that I have just changed (from the My Page area)- is this the Password for the Multiplayer login- or the password for these Forums- or both?????

The reason I ask is that you mention that the Forum and Shop Logins/password are different?

I have just Logged In to Multiplayer using the new password- however, it hasn't cured the problem- ie I still have to enter the password EVERY time I come back to the Multiplayer screen.

Also, I get no Notification (by email) of replies to my posts- which are checked, in the settings.

It should be the same password, user name etc for the shop (EDIT or Main page), forum and multiplayer. - Fingers crossed it should work.

The passwords aren't different - just that it seems that you need to log into shop (EDIT or Main page) first (and then this opens the full edit account settings in the forum if you go back that that.

It does seem strange that you have to log in each time for the multiplayer almost as though the games aren't register properly. I'm rapidly running out of ideas, as there might be some setting wrong on the server which only the slitherine guys will be able to sort , but at the bottom of My Page there is My Serials - when you open this are there any listed there, and if so correctly.

In the Serial Section it says "No Serial Registered!"

Will try deleting and reinstalling the App.

The office is officially closed over the holiday, so it might be that they won't get a chance to look at it until after the new year.

Can I please ask that this issue is now looked at with a view to getting it resolved ASAP? £13.99 is a lot to spend on an App and I really need it to now be functioning correctly.

I can fully appreciate the inactivity due to the Xmas holidays. But that was approx 2 weeks ago now.

I am holding off an App Store Review until I get the niggle resolved- it would be good to include feedback on good Tech Support in my Review?

Apologies for the delay. I thought that I had passed this on to the server team, but it might have gotten missed in the Xmas break.

Just to clarify - the only issue you are having currently is having to enter your MP details (both, or just pw?) each time you want to go into MP?

Yes, the only problem is that every time I come to log in to MP- it always asks for BOTH my login name and password. This happens even in the same session in the app- ie I've logged into MP, I come out of MP and go to campaign, go back to MP screen and both fields will be blank.

At the top of the MP login screen it also says "Game not registered to an account........"

Not sure if this is related, but also I don't ever receive email notifications to replies to forum threads, even though I have selected to have them.

Apart from the above, BA seems to play fine on the ipad. MP works fine when I am logged in and I DO recieve email notifications when it is my turn to move.

Yeah, I've managed to repeat the issue here. We can hopefully roll out a fix on the server to solve the issue.
