UK National Rankings for FOGR

As the BHGS seems to be having some difficulties getting their website updated, the UK FoGR National Rankings have not been updated for somewhile. This is obviously unsatisfactory.

As a temporary measure, I plan to upload the UK National rankings as a file into the FOGR Yahoo group. It will not be the official BHGS UK Rankings but it will use the same method.

If anyone objects I will immediately remove them. I plan to Post the May 2012 Rankings in the next few days. After that I will update the rankings every 2 weeks until I am back to current.

Once the BHGS website updating returns to normal I will remove the rankings from the FoGR Yahoo group.

I will post a new topic each time that the file is updated.

If anyone spots any errors, please e-mail me with corrections or post a reply.

My e-mail address is

Tim, Dave has posted some of the Ancient rankings on this site and I don't think anyone's objected. I don't think the rankings are the property of the BHGS anyway as they include non-BHGS tournaments.

Glad to hear it, as I'll make my first appearance (low down!) in the FoGR rankings soon.

I've put the current DBM rankings on my web site, with the agreement of the BHGS DBM representative - so I'm sure there's no problem with posting the FoGR ones elsewhere.

May 2012 Rankings are in the files area of the FOGR Yahoo Group as FoGR-Rankings-2012-05 non-BHGS.pdf

Any corrections, please let me know. Once I figure out how to load them here in a readable format I will do so.

Thanks for this Timmy - I can guess how much work is involved, especially with the new rules!

Can you let us know what the Tournaments and thir dates are that make up this period so we can all make sure that everything is in there.

Thanks Timmy.

Don

Given that Scotch is an Americanism for an alcoholic drink I suspect that either no-one can remember or no-one cares

If you mean this one

viewtopic.php?f=109&t=30713

then it was won by John Munro (Perth), 2nd was Hunter Hope (Perth) and 3rd John Muir (Glasgow District).

Thank you for that. It was that comp - though the 2011 incarnation that would be in the rankings to end May 2012. I am also missing the full result for Go Square 2012 for the July 2012 ranking when I get there.

And Scotch is well used English banter for our Scotish cousins, rather in the friendly way that they refer to us as filthy thieving Sassanachs...
