I was going insane with crashes on CEAW.

I made a sceanrio that worked fine. Then the program crashed. I reinstalled (a lot of times figuring out whats wrong) only to come to the conclusion now that my scenario files are messing it up even though it worked the 1st time. The new problem is that I cant even diagnose what file. Even if I test the scenario and then REPLACE the data with the original files, the program still crashes.

Remember you have to save ALL scenarios in the folder with your modified map file. For some reason the game requires to find all the scenarios from 1939 to 1944 in the scenario folder. If one or more of them is missing the game will crash.

So you need to load your updated map and then load and then save EVERY scenario. If you fail to do this for one scenario the game will crash. The reason is that the game will create data files for every scenario and use the map file in the scenario folder as a base for the data files. So you can have only one common map file for all scenarios. If the scenarios are based upon different versions of the map file then there will be inconsistencies and the game will crash.

Oh nevermind I discovered the problem. Somehow my scenario files got corrupted, dunno how but it did. So I redid all my files and now it works fine.

That was the hair pulling problem all along.
