OK, here we go again. Downloaded the NEW 44West, went to install.....as usual nothing works correctly... Game startss to load from initial screen but up come new screen with (summarized) "unable to download since you do not have WEHRMACHT installed" ....BULL STUFFING I'm playing a camp on this XP machine right now, all DLCs up to now 39-45 East seem to be working fine, What now??????

I know standard answer re-download OK will try.

Don't take me wrong, chief, but things don't work because you must be doing something wrong from the beginning. Unfortunately I was never been able to pin point it.
This kind of messages only happen if you're changing the game paths, moving files or messing with the Windows registry... why don't you let the game install in the default folders?
I don't think downloading the game will help, because it doesn't seem to be a case of a corrupted file.
Believe me I really would like to understand what you're doing wrong in order to help you. If you want I can make a full guide on how to install the game, expansions, GME and DLCs. I need free time but I will do it.

Tried a re-download....NO FLIPPING HELP.....just once could you put out a download that will work for me, I'm getting tired of standing on my head to get something for this game, installed. I'm running ver1.11, AFRIKA CORP, when I went to "C"\Panzer corp I find file folders for GC39/40/41/42/43E/44E/45E etc.

One of your issues is with the installation path. Don't install the game like this:
C:\Panzer Corps
Instead use another folder like:
C:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps
Why? Because the original PzC installer as a problem with one level paths.
But again, if you let the game install in the default paths you shouldn't had any problem.

How to Install Panzer Corps, DLC, Patches and Expansions in Non-Default Folders

In this example I will install Panzer Corps in D:\Slitherine. You can use C drive instead of D drive like I use. Just remember that the path must have two folders levels, so that's why I use Slitherine before Panzer Corps.
And by the way, this ios the right order/sequence.

Installing Panzer Corps:

Write your path, in this case D:\Slitherine, to Install Panzer Corps to:
D:\Slitherine




Check the install folder before pressing Next. Look the :

Install DLC Grand Campaign '39:

Before installing DLC Grand Campaign '39, the installer will check if you have patch 1.04 or above installed in your system.
If you don't have then it will install before installing the DLC itself. In case you have already installed, then it will automatically proceed to the DLC installation.

Patch 1.04
The game is installed in D:\Slitherine. So this is what you must write in "Install Panzer Corps to:"
D:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps




Check if the "Install folder:" is correct before pressing "Next".



After having installed patch 1.04, the game will finally install DLC Grand Campaign '39.
This is what you must write in "Panzer Corps Grand Campaign '39 to:"
D:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\DLC




Check if the "Install folder:" is correct before pressing "Next".





Install DLC Grand Campaign '40:

This time the installer will find patch 1.04. It won't install patch 1.04 and will proceed automatically to the installation of DLC Grand Campaign '40.
This is what you must write in "Panzer Corps Grand Campaign '40 to:"
D:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\DLC




Check if the "Install folder:" is correct before pressing "Next".

Install DLC Grand Campaign '41:

Install Expansion Afrika Korps:

The Afrika Korps installer will check if you have installed Panzer Corps. If you have installed it then Afrika Korps will be installed as an expansion. If not then it will be installed as a stand alone version. For this case we will assume that you've Panzer Corps installed.
The install will proceed with the installation of Afrika Korps and at the same time the patch 1.10.

The game will assume automatically the path where you have installed Panzer Corps and will install over it. You'll not be able to alter it:

Install DLC Grand Campaign '42-43 West:

Before installing DLC Grand Campaign '42-43 West, the installer will check if you have patch 1.11 or above installed in your system.
If you don't have then it will install before installing the DLC itself. In case you have already installed, then it will automatically proceed to the DLC installation.

Patch 1.11
The game is installed in D:\Slitherine. So this is what you must write in "Install Panzer Corps to:"

VP your a patient man, so I'll ask you a very simple question. Where did my Wermarcht file disappear to ? and yet the game appears to work correctly up to installing 44W ? By the way it installed correctly on my Win7 machine. I'll do the above (for the 7th or 8th time) on my XP machine. DONT DOWLOAD a HOW TO for GME as I have had enough of that fiasco. If I feel a need to play a player generated mod I'll just download a fresh vanilla on my external drive and install the mod the old fashion way. I keep you posted as to results using the above step-by-step process. I will update to game Mods as they occur. Thanks you again.

I can't tell how it did disappear. Like I've told you before I would have to be close your system in order to see what's wrong.
GME is not a fiasco. The only problem is you haven't get it how it does work... yet.

About being patient, well yes... although I sometimes too despair as well.
But there's a Portuguese expression "Já ganhaste o céu" which means that basically I've already earned a place in heaven... several times.
