Are you playing on 'Handicapped' AI mode? If so, I'm afraid to say there is a bug in the game which actually makes it harder than balanced. If you're struggling to win on Handicapped, I'd recommend playing on balanced.

If this is still too hard, we will be fixing Handicapped mode in a patch which will be available soon.
