AI cheating more?

Just came back to the game after some time away and is it me or is the game cheating more?

Killed a tank with a dive bomber next to an enemy town, no more AA around. During its turn it spawned (I checked by reloading the previous turn and turning fog of war off) a towed AA piece directly under my bomber and shot me.

Whilst I have no problem with the enemy buying reinforcements I didn't think it could use them the turn it bought them. Or did I miss a patch note?

AA entered through scenario design as reinforcement.

Just bad luck on your part.

Are you sure it didn't use switch mode on you, CrimsonStorm?

I'm pretty sure the player, AI or human, cannot use a unit the same turn it's bought and/or deployed.

The Russians have an 85mm AA/AT that it likes to switch back and forth now. What scenario were you playing?

You are wrong about the AI not being able to attack the turn it appears. This was an "enhancement" in a recent patch. Still not sure this was a good development or not. See some more on this over here: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=38321

I've NEVER seen the AI use a unit the same turn it brings it out. Ever.

I've also never played GC West, which is what that thread is about. It doesn't seem like the AI should be able to do it in one campaign and not the other.
