After pressing play the introduction begins to play and then I am returned to the desktop with the error message EXTENSION MISSING: ARB_vertex_buffer_object I would be obliged for any advice please.

I had a problem that developed after a while when the Intro would play and hang up the program. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and in options turned off the Intro. No problems since.

It looks like a graphics related issue. Could you check your graphics drivers are up-to-date and update them if not. If that fails, could you upload a dxdiag report so we can see your system info?

Thanks for your suggestions, it turns out that my graphics card needed updating - all working fine now.
