Is the Russian surrender scripted for 1917?

I am playing against the AI, trashing the Russians in all fronts, I have been able to take many cities, including Petrograd by October 1916, but still no Soviet Revolution, only revolts in Petrograd, that is under German control!
So I wonder, is the Soviet Revolution and the Russian surrender scripted for 1917?

I believe the Revolution has to be triggered by NM.

If I were programming it it would like something like this:
NM hits 60 -> 'February' (Kerensky) revolution and NM immediately drops to 40
NM his 30 -> 'October' (Bolshevik) revolution and NM immediately drops to 10

The way it is actually programmed seems to be a lot more generous to the Entente, but I don't know what it is

it is triggered by NM but its a one time event, i dont know the actual morale level since i only seen it happen to the russians (i was cp). once it happens a turn later the russians surrender.

This seems plainly stupid to me. Why is American entry automatic and the Russian revolution only dependent on a hypothetical calculation of national morale? It doesn't seem right to me. The entire game is weighted excessively against the central powers - another example is the exaggerated strength of Serbia.

eh what? :P the usa doesnt join automatic, if you dont kill convoys they dont join. btw usa is totally overrated, its way better to kill the convoys and have usa join than not killing the convoys (atleast in multiplayer). Also historically serbia held out for quite a while but if you play it well that front will usually collapse around the time italy joins in and if not then a bit later when bulgaria joins (as it went in history as well).

i do agree that the russian revolution is a tad too hard to pull off because russia might be a little bit too strong in the 1914 scenario.

I had trouble with Serbia on my first few starts, but in my latest, with privliged AI, I knocked it out before Italian entry. Punish garrison units, infiltrate through gaps, attack Belgrade to knock down PPs, and save up for an Austrian artillery unit.
