I downloaded the BA demo for the Mac and I'm running it on my Macbook Air. The screen is very dark, buildings especially are pretty much black. Is this how it's supposed to look?

Unfortunately there is a bug in the video drivers when doing fixed-pipeline lighting on some specific versions of the Macbook Air which we have not been able to work around. This causes the artifacts you are seeing. The game runs perfectly on all other Mac models and Air versions, but no amount of tinkering has solved the issue on these specific Air versions.

I guess it's your call whether it prevents the game being playable. It's also possible that a driver fix will be forthcoming, but it's not something I would bank on.
