Game doesn't start

Hi, I have just installed today Panzer Corps and Grand Campaign 39.
The game starts the first time, but when I exit and then I want to play again for a second time it does not start. To be clear, I click on the desktop icon and then on "play" and nothing happens! I have installed two times and there is always the same error.
Could you please help me?

Hi.
Sorry to hear you're having problems with Panzer Corps.
So when you boot your Windows and run Panzer Corps, you can play the time you want, and you've no problems. Then you exit to Windows and want to play and nothing happened. Is this right?
How do you exit from Panzer Corps?
Have you tried to disable you Internet Security Program and check if it's OK?

No, it's a bit differnent. I installed the game and it worked, then I clicked on "exit to desktop" in the menu, and when I tried to re-start the game it simply not started.
Then I unistalled and re-installed, again it started, I went away with "exit the game" and when I re-tried to make it start no effect.
I have tried with and without anti-virus, same result.

So you've never played, only start and exit.
Please rename "Audio" subfolder to "_Audio" and see if there's any difference.

auc162 this may be a dumb question, but are you SAVING your game before going to "EXIT THE GAME" ?

The problem is that the game doesn't start in any way. I'm not talking about a saved game, but the program itself!

Could you please post your DxDiag?
How to get a Directx Dialog file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. open the text file, copy the contents, and post along with your issue.

Hi von Paulus, the system doesn't allow me to post the content saying "Your post looks too spamy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs."
I have attached the file. Thanks.

The problem with your issue, besides being so specific, is that we aren't able to reproduce it locally. This makes things really harder to suggest anything in that regard, specially when you already uninstalled your AV.
It could help (or not) to know what programs are you running at the startup.
Try to download Process Explorer.
Run Process Explorer, and in File menu select save as. This will generate the "Procexp.txt" file.
Please post that file here.

Well, I hope you realize that what we're trying to figure, is what's wrong in your system for not letting Panzer Corps work. The issue is not with the game but in your Windows.
I would ask another two things. That you try to run the game in safe mode and see if there's any change and see if you can run ProcessExplorer in Windows safe mode after running the game and please post the Procexp.txt produced in safe mode.

I tend to think in these situations, that's a question of a security interference. There's a reason why... most of this issues are provoked by the damn security programs.

EDIT: I remembered another thing. Please uninstall the game before you enter in Windows safe mode. Then install it in Windows safe mode. run the game see if you can play. Exit. Run the game if you can and post Procexp.txt.

Hi, finally now it works! Probably there was a problem with the firewall: now that I have set it up so that Panzer is allowed, it works! Let's go invading Poland :D
