Portuguese units in FRENCH service , Ney's IIIrd corps ....1812.
They had a small "shako" but of portuguese design .

Its called a Barretina shako - very similar to the Belgic shako.
Most Napoleonic manufacturers have Portuguese figures in Barretina.

The Portuguese Legion is wearing a French-style uniform. Don't know/think the Portuguese were wearing that cut of coat when they were still equipped with the barretina.
Elite Miniatures does them but in 28mm unfortunately.
Perhaps doing head-swaps may be necessary.
