Game won't load

Trying to start a game with Owen - I open his Axis move and get message "Exception - game saved in a previous version and cannot be loaded". Both playing latest version. He is PC I am Mac. Any thoughts?

i used to get this using a beta fileset upgraded with official 2.1

I posted a reply in the tech area. One idea is the correct file being sent? You have to go to the correct path and the correct file to send.
If you use a generic game file name it can get confusing if you are playing multiple games.
I suggest the initials of the players, game version number and like me I have been playing the same person for many games. We are up to game number 36.

don't think it is that - has a unique name. I sent him a game and he got the same message. Could he send a file to someone else to rule out any problems at my end - though I have several other successful games going.

Hi,
He can send the file to me. Or you can send me the file that you got from him. It does not change file when it does not load.
