Ditto.

Tried dl'ing hte zip file, extracted it, thjen tried copying the files to the same directories in the game directory as per the instruction.

Got an error when trying to copy the 0 kb files that have the same names as the game-save directories hotseat, pbem, tcpip - they would not copy.

Do you all have Vista? If so the zip file was intended to solve that problem but it also seems to have issues :(

Stalin - If you delete the saves directory from the zip after extracting it can you then copy it over the game? This should be exactly the same as the beta patch versions so I don't understand why it's behaving differently now.

its because you need the 1.5 version exactly. I had the newer version i think it wouldnt install. Then went online and got the exact version and it installed correctly.

I had this, all of us with JRE 1.6 have it.

But the zipfile worked fine for me.

Oh, and I was mistaken. I do not have the Matrix version. I remembered DL'ing it, but I now discover that I got it from Digital River, not Matrix.

Sigh, premature senility. Well, better that than premature, uhhh, never mind... ;)

Digital River is the service that runs the downloads for Matrix.

You're not senile... Well, I can't really speak to that, but you probalby did download the Matrix version.

Slitherine uses Digital Rivers also.

Anyway, the 1.02 patch installation has been slightly altered so we will upload a better one soon. Until then, those with problems will have to use the Vista patch.

I don't see a Matrix logo on the splash screen, and the zipfile version of the patch worked. Both these things would argue that I have the green lizard version :)

Doesn't DR also handle the downloads through Slitherine's store?

Correct, those with Matrix version will have a Matrix logo on the first splash screen when game startup.

We're working to resolve the issue Joe - but you can use the patch zip in the mean time.

We have updated the patch and we think it will fix the install problems on Vista. Please try again if you were having problems.

I didn't have Vista and I still dont have Vista.

If I install the Vista patch my WIN XP will get the blue screen of death.

Joe, is the new patch fix working or does it still refuse install?

Hi Joe - we only have one patch for all OS's, it's just that we tried to make it more compatible to fix the bug reported, which we thought was only happening on Vista. We think it will fix your install problem so please grab it and try it out.

……download the zip and unzip it, maintaining the file structure. Then copy the files over your installer Commander - Europe at War directory......

I downloaded the ZIP file.

This holds 517 files

To where should I copy the 517 files????????

Sorry I do not understand.

The ZIP file has NO folders and NO directories

It has 517 files.

The game is installed in C:/................./Commander - Europe at War

From the Zip file, where do I extract the files to?
