Two Questions: How do I make stationary units not able to move?
(1) This sounds like a silly question, with an answer of "just make the movement zero and they can't move." It apparently isn't that easy.
EDIT: I should have stated that I have these infantry units set to class 6, movement 0, and movement type 4, and they do have transportation (infantry with truck) when not entrenched but no usable transports when entrenched. In this case - an entrenched infantry unit with movement of zero can still move.
Should I set it back to class 0 (infantry) or leave it set it to class 6 (structure) (which doesn't seem to be working)?
Also, I have been using Type of Movement 4 (as that is what the equipment file uses for Forts, etc), is that correct, or is that towed as per the movement.pzdat, and if it is towed, why do the Forts have that Type of Movement in the first place?
When I give a non-fort unit, e.g., infantry, a class of 6, zero movement and a movement type of 4, it can still move (I am wondering if this may be affected by if it has transportation, e.g., an Opel).
For the entrenched infantry, I do not have anything entered in the Usable Transports field (null), so do I need to enter something there to negate movement?
(2) Using Puma's idea for his Mini-Mod, I turned on the purchase of Structures (class 6), Ships (classes 10-14) and Armored Trains (class 18). One problem, the transportation (Opels, etc) shows up at the bottom of the Structure purchase window and I haven't figured out how to make it go away. Transportation options don't show up at the bottom of the ship or armored train purchase window so why just the structures (unless the aforementioned Type of Movement (4) is indeed incorrect? How do you turn off transportation for an entire unit Class or a specific Unit? I was considering adding a new Type of Movement called stationary set to -200 for all types of terrain.
