Artillery

Good morning all,

I'm about to start painting up some Artillery for Loius XIV. I want to base them on running boards (as seen on page 114 and 155) instead of flocked bases. Has anyone done this in 15mm? I was originally thinking match sticks, but that would make the base awfully thick. Any thoughts?

I'd look into the techniques that model ship makers use for their decks. Depending on where you live, you might be able to find something more suitable than matchsticks from one of their suppliers:

I ended up going to a model railway shop and found scale model 'lumber'. It is VERY thin and comes in strips about 30cm long. It worked the treat. I'll put pictures up when I'm finished.
