Infantry and Me 323 Gigant

I just noticed that in the Caucasus scenario of AK I cannot load up my Pioneers with halftracks into a Gigant without losing the halftacks...
Isn't it a bit silly for me to be able to load up and entire Tiger bataillon into those machines while trucks (which the gigant historically actually DID transport) cannot be loaded?
I mean it wasn't a big issue in that scenario, but it really felt... wrong
