Basing 6mm

Does anyone play FoG with 6mm and how do they base them?
I was thinking I could use 15mm bases and just put on 2 or 3 times more figures, which would look cool, but is that what is normally done?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure there are a few people around here who have done this, I've certainly seen some pictures posted at some point. In some ways it look better, in other ways not - personal taste I guess. I think my eyeseight just ins't up to it!
It might look rather odd when facing up against a 15mm army though, if that matters to you.

It does! I meant if both armies were based that way.
Never even considered them before but they look surprisingly good in the flesh, and it allows you to have anything up to 30 men on a base, giving much more of an impression of massed ranks eg. phalanxes.

I know a few people that do it.

I actually played a game last night 15mm versus 6mm. FOG R not FOG AM, but it was suprising how little difference the two scales made. To be honest after 10 minutes of playing you cease to notice.

Phil Barker has given basing number suggestions for small scale troops on DBx/FOG sized bases in DBMM rules, & in the draft DBA revision rules, which work pretty well. They pretty much add up to about doubling the number of figures from the 15mm numbers, on 15mm scale bases, as you suggest. Here's my take on 10mm figures for a DBA army:

Hope that helps!
