Mountain Lion issues

I tried playing Command - Europe at War for the first time since upgrading my Mac to Mountain Lion. Everything seems to work except for the ability to change country when trying to buy units or invest in resources. As the Axis player, every time I to click on the arrow to switch to Italy, I am immediately returned to Germany settings. I am running version 1.06 of CEAW and I have tried running Grand Strategy 2.0 with the same results.

Italy is neutral at the beginning of the game it will enter the war in 1940.
That is why you can not purchase any units yet.

Russia and USA are also neutral in the first years of war, but you can make labs, purchase units, and even place them...
I don`t think this is the problem...

Thanks. I just never noticed this before. I thought I was able to create units for Italy when neutral in the past, but I guess not.

So I tried the 1943 scenario and same problem. It isn't that I can't purchase units, but as soon as I switch to Italy it switches back to Germany. I remember in the past not being able to buy units for neutral countries but I was able to bring up their window. Seems to work OK if I do 1943 and play as the Allies.

I was running as the Allies in CEAW Grand Strategy 2.1 and now I see the real problem and it occurs with Allies and Axis. When I am buying units or doing research, if I click on the arrow to go to the next country, it acts as if I clicked on it twice. Thus it goes from Germany to Italy to Germany or UK to France to USA. Thus I can't buy units or do research for France, Italy or USSR. Once France is conquered I can reach each Allied nation because there is an odd number. This happens in both 32 and 64 bit modes.
Since this is mostly a Java app perhaps I should change the version of Java I am using, perhaps move to the latest Oracle version?

Hi,
Ok now I understand a little better, maybe go to system preferences and slow down the click or double click speed.
Yes I would suggest getting the latest version of Java.

The latest version of Java from Oracle didn't help.
Slowed down the double-click speed. Na da.
At this point I am going to concentrate on login items and other stuff that might be causing unexpected problems. Since no one else is seeing this problem I am suspecting it is something specific to my system.

I have the same problem. Mac OS X 10.8.3 nor Java 7 Update 11. This has happened with every version of Mountain Lion and Java. Can't comment on Lion.

Just booted my iMac with Shift key down and Commander runs properly. So now I will have to investigate the add ins that normally run on booting the Mac and when logging into my account.

Solved the problem. A conflict with Launchbar. If Launchbar is running then the double-click on country problem occurs. Goes away if I quit Launchbar.
I made a few changes to preferences in Launchbar and here is how to fix the problem. In Launchbar turn off "Enable Clipboard History"
