Slitherine

Downloaded Mod 1.11 to my XP and Win7 machines today: Game seems to play ok, except it is off centered on screen, have black border on right and top of XP machine. All adjustments ok, also seem to have lost Historical Flag and Insignia Mod, on both XP and Win7. Win 7 screen size seems ok. Tried to reload game and it will not allow.

You must be referring to Patch 1.11, I suppose.
When you install a patch it will replace whole the files that mods have replaced before. So that's a good reason to use GME and prior to installing a new patch you should deactivate all the mods. After installing the patch you have to snapshot the files in GME again and only after you can activate the mods.

But from what you're telling, I suppose that your Panzer Corps is messed up.
Maybe it's better to uninstall everything again (starting with DLC and Afrika Korps expansion and ending with Panzer Corps original). After that install Panzer Corps original, DLC and Afrika Korps (in case you have them), and last patch 1.11 (if you the last DLC you don't need to do this). Then install GME and the mods.

OK I figured It would be the attempted fix, since it seems to be my fate to reinstall everytime something goes wrong. will try it AGAIN.

OK here we go again, why is it that everytime you guys change/mod the game that it goes crazy here??? I have never never had any problems like this before, with any other installation or game. Up til mod 1.11 with DLC 1 thru 7 all was working fine on my XP. When I installed latest up-date, my game screen shifted down from the top and over to the left, leaving me with borders top and right. NO OTHER GAME is screwed up like this one. You say DELETE entire mess and start over, that I did and then I install Wermacht 1.00, is was ok, then I added DLC 1 machine self updated to 1.04, then I added DLC 2 then Machine updated itself to 1.11, after install I checked screen and sure as all get out it was screwed up.

Cleaned machine of all Panzer Corps again and this time tried 39 and it (scree) was fine, updated to 1.11 again and right back to messed up screen. How many times do you want me to reload this mess ? The win7 machine works fine by the way.

I'd install the game WITHOUT mod 1.11 if I could and forget about it but it decides about the time I get to DLC 3 that it wants new update. Can't argue with machine.

Sorry you are having problems.

- Do you have Window Mode active on your XP machine, and if so, will it help to disable it?
- Which game screens are screwed, all of them, or only some of them?
- Can you make a screenshot illustrating the problem?

I have downloaded and installed 1.11 and after each time the game didn't start because it failed the CEC check. I also tried to uninstall the game, but the uninstall file doesn't work either. I'd be happy to uninstall and start all over, but I don't know how to uninstall it.

RUDUNKORT: Thanks for reply, my machine is not the problem, up till I installed latest mod is when problem appeared. As far as pix goes I don't have any setup for it. Just imagine the game screen slewed down and to the left, unadjustable and desktop parts showing at top and right of game screen. This is the ONLY game on my XP machine that is scgewed up. I have 3 other games and 5 versions of one game all working fine.

Von Luck I use a cleaner when I get rid of a bad game, the only otherway I know is to go to Control Panel and use "ADD and REMOVE program(s)

More info: Reinstalled Wermacht ver 1.00 seems ok, added ver 1.05 and screen offfset was present and I notice I could only move/scroll the game screen to the Right (east) no other direction.

Be careful with the use of cleaners specially with the registry cleaners they can mess the system.

Could you please try to go to the game menu (the one you open with Esc hotkey during the game), and uncheck "Window Mode" checkbox there?

I don't know what a "cleaner" is? Could someone from Slitherine tell me how to uninstall and then re-install the game. Then I'll update with the new patch.

BTW, I have tried to uninstall from the Control Panel. It is unsuccessful, stating "Invalid Uninstall Control File..."

Could you please start your own thread, telling us what is the version of your Windows, if you have any DLC and expansion. I'll try to help to the best of my abilities.

Chief, do you have the GME?

If so make sure you remove the mods and have it disabled before installing.

Razz: reinstalled without using GME, DLC 1 thru 7, updated to 1.11 plan on staying with VANILLA version. My personal method of installation of all my games do not include GME, if it can't be installed the old fashioned way, file for file, folder for folder, line for line I no longer want it. Being OLD-Fashioned and hard headed don't fit in with new fangled methods, whereas old methods still work for me. Thank you for asking. If I download any new versions or mods I'll put them on/in a seperate version of the Vanila game. From what I see here I'm not alone with screwed up installs/mods.
