Questionable Support

Imagine three battle groups in line and adjacent to each other, two six base pike and shot on the outside and between them two bases of artillery.

Behind the artillery is another pike and shot bg supporting it. Does it support all three front line units?

I ask because the supporting bg is notionally level with the front line pike and shot.

I think the second bullet on P126 resolves this "a battle group in a position to give rear support to artillery is treated for all purposes as if its front edge was in the position of the front edge of the artillery".

Clearly, this means it cannot be "entirely behind a straight line extending the rear edge of the supported battle group" as required by P174.
