How about a skirmish mode?

Or is that something we don't talk about in here because this is a serious war game, and skirmish modes are for the likes of the C&C click?

"Click"? Is that a specific button on my Thinkpad? Or do you mean "clique"? Or is this post really about something petty I am missing?

Obviously not form up-north.
Isn't a clique that rude bit that we are not suppose to talk about in the company of lady's?
So what do you think, skirmish mode for Panzer Corps, yes?

What? How?
You should specify what you envision as skirmish mode.
I don't see how this could work in Panzer Corps.

It looks as if no one here has ever even heard of skirmish mode before, which is strange, Panzer Corp being a war game and all.

I've heard of it from my kids, I think--it is when more than two sides compete, correct? Like the board game Risk? I don't see how this would work in a historically-oriented operational-scale game like PzC--there simply aren't many situations in which this would arise. Having the computer independently play allied forces might be interesting, however--it would give the player a better sense of the headaches suffered by commanders like Rommel and Eisenhower.

Perhaps you also meant the random map? Country selection, starting place,etc...? It would be nice too to have random maps in this game, although that's not one of the features I want most of this game.
Yes, I play Command & Conquer's skirmish modes too. IMO, this kind of modes more suitable to RTS than turn-based ones like PG or PzC.

Someone must have heard or played BattleIsle. That seem to work terribly well in skirmish.
