Hi all,
I have some problems with the Hittite list and ally generals :
In the list you have a large variety of troops available : Hittites, Anatolian light Chariots, Cannaanite Chariots, bedouins, Gasgans …. You can also have Vaasal Anatolian, Cannaanites … ally generals
In the list, it’s written that an anatolian general can only affect Anatolian troops and in the rule « An ally commander can only affect bg of his own contingent and these can only be affected by him( p 96).
The questions are :
If I take only Hittite generals, is everybody in Line of Command or only the troops without ally generals available ?
If I take an Anatolian vassal ally general, are the Hittites generals still able to affect the anatolian chariots ?
Thank you in advance for your help
Lionel

Salut Lionel,
It is a while since we reviewed this list so it may be a bit "comme ci comme ca" at present.
As far as I can see, you are not obliged to have any ally generals at all. Anatolian and Syrian troops can be commanded directly by Hittite generals.
If you choose to have ally generals (perhaps either to save 10 points or because you think it is more realistic) then they can only command troops of their own nationality. However, the list does not require all troops of their nationality to be in their contingent. So for example, you could have some anatolian troops assigned to the contingent of an Anatolian ally general and some as part of the "main" army - which will have the C-in-C and SGs in LOC. You must assign troops to an ally contingent in advance, not before each battle in a tournament.
I hope this helps. If not, don't have any ally generals and you will have no problems.

It 's clear now.
