hi - lots of feedback so far from me - see below... i love this game.. but when i installed the game last night, not only did it install the 1.01 gigabyte files but for some goofy reason it also installed a shadow copy of my windows operating system... i lost something like 15 gigabytes of space during the install... and i did this twice - the 1st time it did this , i uninstalled the whole thing, and then reinstalled it late last night, and same thing... in fact, when you go to the start menu, under battle academy has a line that says windows operating system... ???

any ideas.... seems my bitdefender antivirus might have some conflict with this??? no ideas/

That is very odd. The installer certainly can't do that! I would guess it might be some kind of wierdness with the AV as you say.

But to check, what OS etc are you running on?

Thanks pip - seems to have been an issue with a call to something called vss ???

windows 7 latest build and updates... its like there was a function recovery call in the event logs stored.... i must be the only 1 with the problem.. sorry !

I've checked the setup and I don't see how any of this can be related to the installer. The installer just installs the game files to a folder and sets the registry so it knows where they are. It doesn't do anything clever. Its about as vanilla as they come. The only thing I know called vss is Visual Source Safe from Microsoft - its not something to do with the game and Vss is not included in the game in any way. Its a source control program we use to back things up but it definitely is not in the files we sent out!

Is anyone else seeing odd issues?

problem solved.. i believe i was multi tasking too much, including updates to the op sys while also installing the beta... things have returned to normal after a few reboots

OK good to know it wasn't us!
