Infantry units least likely to surrender [HE_Suppression]

In GJS Campaign we are having some issues with infantry. It is likely to surrender quickly. A mortar attack plus infantry attack and unit is finished! I can understand a unit caught in open should surrender soon, but in forest and buildings it should be more tought.

I was looking in squad.csv and I found HE_supression value. Can I manage this to increase the endurance?

Is better to modify COVERVALUE in terrain.txt? In this case, where have I to put specific terrain.txt in order to works only in GJS maps (and not interfere with the rest of the BA scenarios) :?:

Hmmm - not sure of the best approach here. Tweaking the HE_Suppression value might be the simplest, and you can then specifically change the mortar values and so on if you want to.

Probe done. HE_Suppression value is the capacity of every unit to inflict suppression over the enemy. Could be halving values in squad.csv we reach a more resistant infantry.

A doubt Pip. HE_Suppression is the capacity of every unit to inflict suppression over the enemy. Less value less damage inflicts. Clear. But... with direct fire (watching the target) or indirect fire (suppossing is there)?

You'd have to check out where and how it is used in the scripts for detailed knowledge of how it interacts. From a quick look it is used for both direct and suppression fire.

Dont forget in woods you have added shrapnel effect.

Conversly, why on earth is it so darn difficult to kill a mortar team?? Ive hit those with tank after tank, assaults etc and they just sit there (even in the open) and laugh. They are the toughest unit on the board which is not realistic.

Second to that, why are King Tigers more like King Pussy cats? They are expensive garbage! Up the stats on these and make it a bit more realistic. They miss 90% of the time...
