Question for you, Kerensky, or other developer -

Which is more useful, playing with an imported core, or with the stock core? Which yields more feedback re: balance, etc., or it doesn't matter much?

We welcome feedback on any sort of CORE force, be it imported or stock. Ultimately, the goal is that they should not be too different. We need to make sure imported forces are not too strong, and generally balance the pre-made CORE around imported COREs.

Bottom line is that imported COREs should have an advantage over pre-built ones, but pre-built CORE must at least be competitive and capable of accomplishing the campaign on its own.
Otherwise why ever import your CORE, everyone would just start with the new pre-built for each DLC, and we'd rather reward our players for putting the time and dedication into molding their own force. For me personally, this is one of the highlights of the game for sure. Naming and organizing my units as I see fit, and carrying them through dozens of scenarios and multiple campaigns as the war progresses.

Oh I completely agree. One of my favorite parts is actually Deployment, were I repair and upgrade - and thus "cultivate" them!

I started with the stock core as it would be a harder test. The upgrades to the stock core in Beta 2 make it much more competitive; though I think air is still a little weak.
