One of the three terrain type options is Steppes. great for a horse shooter army, but where precisely in Afghanistan is (are?) there Steppes?

the Ghaznavids were not just in Afghanistan - they ruled a large chunk of Khurasan and transoxiana as well.

I have been twice in afghanistan nearly everywhere in the country and there is no really steppe but you can find lot of plains with a mixed of earth and grass. Even nearly Ghazni wich is now a very poor city and an unsafe place at this moment.
