Hi,
most of my downtime was spent playing this game. Since my return to the UK after half a year abroad I have been unable to play online much to my chagrin (and my current opponents who number around 30). The multiplayer choice is ghosted out. I feel I have been exiled - what is happening please?!

I'll assume you reinstalled or are playing on a new machine? MP and the Editor are locked out on new installs to try and guide the player toward playing the game a little first. To remove the locks either play through the tutorial and (IIRC) one of the desert missions, or just open the OPTIONS.TXT file in My Documents/My Games/BBCBA and change the CAMPAIGNS value to 255 and you should be good to go.

yep, worked a treat. Just had to do last mission of tutorial and first one of the Desert as you said.
