15mm Ethiopian figures

Can anyone suggest any appropriate 15mm figures for 16/17 th century Ethiopians
from Colonies and Conquest ? I have this mental image of them looking like the
Fuzzie Wuzzies of Omdurman and Gordon of Khartoum fame, but I don't have any
actual evidence to support that view. I have looked at Essex's generic Middle East 700 -
1400 AD and arab ranges and these look reasonably suitable except that most of
them have turbans and Ethiopians were christians. Though perhaps the turban was as
much about practical clothing options in that part of the world as religious observance ?
I would be most grateful if someone could give me some informed guidance.

If the answer is "no - you'll just have to do the research yourself, you lazy
bu@#er", that's fair enough; just thought I'd ask first on the off chance that
someone else has already blazed that particular trail.

Thanks.
Martyn

Have a look at

http://www.blackhat.co.uk/online_shop/i ... 3e348b8244

Is a "Colonial" range of 15mm Ethipians but I cant see anything that would make them unusable for renaissance (although the detail in the photos of the pack with firearms is a bit unclear).

Or more expensively but rather better quality and clearly weilding muskets

I think you win the prize most esoteric request, and for possessing the longest but most abbreviated login name, so to speak...

AFAIK turbans are of religious significance to Sikhs but not to Muslims.

They are wonderful looking figures (makes me want to do some sort of African army just to use them) but as far as I can see no mounted or missile troops. Would have to use other ranges extensively and as they are 18mm may not mix well.
